10 Months Old and Getting Ready for Our First Family Christmas!!!!

My adorable girl!!! So much has changed over the past few months.  Sadie has definitely found her voice and her own sassy personality.  She crawls like a little mad woman and sometimes she is hard to catch.  She pulls up on everything and has started to let go and stand for a second then sit down.  A few days ago she decided to push her walker across the floor and walk behind it, of course when I grabbed the video camera she laughed at me and sat down.  So I am going to keep trying to catch her in the act, but I feel like she is definitely going to be walking for her first birthday...we will see how my prediction works out.

Sadie has also found a new love for eggs and bananas in the morning.  She makes a mess, but loves evry minute of it...

Sadie is fascinated with our back door.  I swear she would live outside if we let her.  As soon as she hits the floor, she crawls straight to the back door and looks out.  I can't wait until she is a little older and she can feed the ducks off of the dock.  I am going to have to invest in a lot of bread...lol!

This past Thursday we had our first encounter with Santa.  She absolutely loved him.  I was so scared she was going to scream, but she just kept looking at him and laughing.  She has had a cold for the past week because of the drastic ups and downs in the weather here in Louisiana, but she had a blast with Santa.

Well that's all for now!  See you soon!!! We are getting ready for next weekend and our first Christmas!!! Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!

Catching up!!!!

So I have not posted in a while and so much has changed for Miss Sadie! So instead of a long drawn out written excuse I will WOW you with pictures from the past few months!
Getting ready for my first Trick or Treat....
Telling Daddy bye-bye and she is ready to roll!

We decided to have some 9 month pictures taken profesionally, so these are some of my favorites....

She was such a trooper this day. She took pictures for over and hour and kept smiling!

Thanksgiving we spent at my cousin Karen's house with family and Sadie was in love with the grass.

Time is Flying!!!!

I can't believe it has been 7 months since Sadie joined our family.  She has developed such a little personality and is so much fun these days.  We have not gotten the crawling thing down, but we are rocking and I feel like any day now she is going to be extemely mobile.

She loves her Mother's Day Out teachers, Kristen and Jill.  Whenever we get out of the car to dropo her off, she starts squeaking with excitement! There are plenty of little ones from her to learn from and luckily no one has been sick since she started!

From what I have read, most babies start with "ta" and "da", Sadie has decided that "ma" is her choice so she "ma ma ma's" all day long.  I love when she decides to test her vocal cords in the quietest places, such as Dillards.  It is a lot of fun to have everyone in the very quiet store stare at you while your child squeaks and screeches, while laughing.

I finally have the flip working again, so I will try and catch in her some videos and post them for your viewing pleasure!

As we were waiting for the LSU game to start last week, she played with her new favorite toy and was cracking herself up.  The dinosaur bounces the balls.

Daddy wanted to look pretty like Sadie....lol.

Sadie Updates!!!!

So getting geared up for our first LSU game.  Sadie actually is very interested in watching football. She is definitely a momma's girl!

We did go to the doctor last week for Sadie's 6 month check up.  Miss Sadie is growing like a weed and I can't believe how much she has grown in the past 6 months.  She is 17lbs 10oz and is 27.75" in long.  She is definitely going to pass me up...lol. Her pediatrician said that I need to expect to look up to my daughter later in life.  I guess I am destined to be surrounded by people that are taller than me...lol.

So in the past few days Sadie has started to get on all fours and rock.  I am scared and kind of excited about the fact that she is going to be mobile soon.  She is starting mother's day out tomorrow.  So hopefully she will have fun and learn from the other babies in the class.  I am sure that we are both going to cry tomorrow when I drop her off.  Luckily James is going to be there to make me leave the room!

Enjoying Life.....

So I just wanted to share a few pictures with everyone.  Sadie is such a happy little girl and loves the water, so this is from this past weekend.  She is finally sitting up by herself, we just have to keep an eye on her because she doesn't quite understand that when you lean back you will fall if mom or dad isn't there.
She also thinks that everything that she gets a hold of, is meant for her mouth.  This should be fun when she starts Mother's Day Out in 2 weeks.

Then this past weekend we tried out our new bikini while hanging out with our friend Madison in the pool.  Daddy and Sadie had a blast splashing around.  When she got going her little legs were kicking away under the starfish.

Well hope everybody is doing well.  Just wanted to post a few pics of our little girl who is growing up way too fast!

The Big 6 Months!!!!

So it has been a while since I have posted and life has been very hectic.  Sadie has decided that she loves tummy time and is scooting and rolling all over the place.  She definitely has become more mobile and independent over the past month.  Sadie talks constantly, although we are not quite sure what she is talking about, but she is extemely excited to share her thoughts with anyone that will listen.

I have been making all of her baby food at home and so far I have not come across any veggies or fruits that Sadie dislikes.  She has a very healthy appetite.
Daddy is feeding her some yummy rice cereal and squash.

We are going to register and start her in a Mother's Day Out program that begins in September.  She will be going to school Monday and Wednesday, which I am really excited about.  It will be nice for her to interact with other babies and have some time away from mommy!

She has started to sit up on her own. It is only for a few seconds and then she kind of leans over, but she is getting it.  I have no fear that she will be sitting up and on the move in no time.  Her ability to scoot and roll amazes me.  It seems no matter where I put her in relation to her toys she is going to get over there to play with them.  It was funny to me that as much as she hated tummy time, she just rolled over one day and decided it was her favorite position.

She also loves her jumper, thanks Nan!  It is her second favorite place to be.  She cracks herself up jumping around and playing with the lights on the front of the jumper.

Well she is going to the doctor for her check up and shots on next Tuesday, so I will have some new numbers for her weight and height then.

Talk to you soon!!!!

4 Months and time is flying by.....

So every month it seems, I get on here and say I am going to do a better job of posting.  Obviously I am failing miserably at being an avid blogger, but I am still going to keep trying to improve.  Sadie definitely eats up most of my free time, but I am loving every minute of the time I spend with her.  I do not remember life before her, that is for sure.

We went for our 4 month check up yesterday.  She is 15lbs and is 25 inches long.  Needless to say she has definitely grown a lot in the past 2 months. We were given our first taste of applesauce today, and I think she wasn't quite sure what to think about it.  Sadie talks constantly, and is so serious about the conversations she is having.  I always get a laugh when I am in another room and I can hear her talking to the animals hanging on the activity center.  She also loves to talk to people on the tv.

This past weekend we went swimming for the first time.  She loved the water and her little legs were working away under the floaty.  After  a day outside in the water, Sadie had a very good night sleep.  We finally wore her out.

Her favorite place to be is in the bouncer, thank Nan.  She entertains herself with the lights and bounces back and forth while randomly talking to herself.  James was amazed at how long she will stay in the seat without getting fussy.  She gets easily bored with anything else we give her.  While she is not a huge fan of tummy time, still, she does love to stand up.  I am amazed at how strong she is.   Her pediatrician was laughing yesterday saying that she will probably skip crawling and just start walking around.  I can only imagine the things she is going to get into.

As I said I am going to try to update more frequently.  I know that everyone is constantly looking for more pictures of Sadie.  There will definitely be more to come soon...

3 Months Already!!!!

So time has just been flying by and Sadie is more and more amazing everyday.  She is talking her own language and laughs constantly.  She definitely makes our day everytime her little face lights up with her laugh and smile.  Sadie has been sleeping through the night for the past few weeks, which is a huge sigh of relief for us, sleep deprivation is no fun.  She is growing like a weed.  She notices everything around her and has a very concentrated look whenever something crosses her eyes.

We have been going into work on Mondays and Fridays, so the shop office has become her personal play area. Sadie enjoys Daddy time and it is always interested in whatever James is looking at on the computer. I definitely do not pack light to go into work.  We bring all of her toys and chairs with us to keep her entertained.
Her neck is getting more and more stable everyday, so it will only be a matter of time before we are moving on to our bigger toys.  Which will be great because she is not a fan on laying down.  She wants to sit up and take it all in.

This past weekend we took advantage of the beautiful weather and hung out in our backyard. Toby, Daddy and Sadie were enjoying the breeze off of the water.

Easter

So Sadie did make her first visit to the Easter bunny on Good Friday.  Luckily the photographer was quick because the first picture was the only one she didn't cry in.  When I look at her little face she makes me laugh.  It is as if she is pushing her cheeks out as far as possible.  I felt bad for that poor bunny though, it was really hot.

Easter Sunday we spent at my grandmother's.  We were finally able to take a decent five generations picture.  Our ages range from 93 yrs old  to 9 weeks old, which is pretty rare.  Sadie was a trooper and was completely mesmerized by Maw Maw Dot.  It was an eventful first Easter and Sadie was definitely exhausted when we got home later that evening.

Time has flown....

I know that I am the biggest slacker when it comes to posting pictures on here! I drive Sadie crazy with the camera in her face but I just never seem to sit down and actually upload them.  Well enough about my slacking....let's talk about Sadie!  She had her 2 month check up and shots last Monday.  She is 11 lbs and 10oz.  Her shots went well, she screamed during the actual shot, but quickly got over it.

 Hanging out with Grammie!!!
Getting ready for Miss Gabrielle's birthday party!
Having fun at the house with Momma! Miss Smiley!!!

Everyday I am more amazed at how fast she is growing up.  She is definitely developing her own personality and attitude...lol.  I have been trying for a while to capture her turning over on video, and it finally happened last week.  It takes her a minute but she doesn't give up.  I get so excited when she hits milestones and I can actually catch her doing it.

1 Month Today!!!

So it has been a month!!! I can't believe how time has flown by these past four weeks.  Sadie is getting more and more alert everyday.  She looks at you now when you talk to her and she is developing her own little personality that I am finally getting to understand a little more and more each day. We took our first outing just mommy and Sadie yesterday to Hobby Lobby.  She slept the whole time which was nice because I was nervous on my own.  We are getting into a schedule now and it is great.  We are only getting up once a night which allows for some sleep for mommy!
Sadie is lifting her head and doing what I like to call baby push-ups during tummy time.  I don't want her to grow up too fast.  Well I hope everyone is doing well and we will keep you all posted on life with Sadie!!!!

Sadie

So it has been 3 weeks and Sadie is doing wonderful. At her first doctors visit she weighed in at 8lbs 6oz and I am sure she has added even more since then.  She is growing like a little weed and getting more and more alert everyday.  We are finally getting some type of schedule in our lives, which I think I like more than she does.  Sadie is definitely a mover and a shaker, I really think she is going to be an early crawler because she already scoots herself when you lay her on her stomach.

Here are some of photos from her newborn photo session, in which she used the bathroom on pretty much everything in the studio. The pictures came out awesome and you would never know that she was not a fan of being naked.

I am going to try to really stay on top of the blog so you can all see what Sadie is up to.  Hopefully I will master the video camera and I can get some action on here.  I really can't believe that it has been three weeks since she came into our lives.  She is absolutely perfect and James and I are having the best time playing with her and watching her develop into this little person right before our very eyes.
